Special Education Teacher - Bridge (Setting III EBD) at Hastings Middle School (School Year 2025-2026)
Position Purpose
Under supervision of the School Principal and Director/Supervisor of Special Services, the Special Education Teacher will work to maximize the learning experience of students with special needs, in academics, social skills, behavior and emotional regulation while implementing district approved curriculum; document teaching and student progress/activities, outcomes; address students' specific needs; and provide a safe and optimal learning environment.

Qualifications:
Required Certification: Minnesota teaching licensure as a Special Education Teacher.
Preferred Certification: K-12 Minnesota licensure in one of the following licensure domains: Emotional Behavior Disorders (EBD) or Academic Behavior Strategist (ABS)
Education: Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
Become and maintain certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), training provided by the district
Successful prior special education teaching experience for the appropriate grade level and disability domains preferred.

Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal, Director/Supervisor of Special Services, and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
