Have you ever wondered what bird banding is all about? Bird Banding records can help us learn how long birds live, where they travel, when and where they migrate and many other interesting facts. Carpenter Nature Center has been banding birds for over 30 years. On the fourth Friday of the month bird banding is open to the public.
There is no program fee, but donations of Bird Seed and Suet are greatly appreciated.

Enjoy Spring Lake Park Reserve by flickering candlelight. Take in the stunning views of the Mississippi River as you enjoy candlelight cross-country ski trails and plowed walking trails. Dakota County Parks ski pass required for skiers. Warm up with hot cocoa and crackling bonfires. Cocoa provided. Hot food available for purchase from food trucks. Volunteers needed.
