Wendy will share a bit with us about how plants and nature can be medicine, especially to those suffering illness or loss.
Bring a little nature into your life with Wendy’s help. Enjoy a sensory experience as Wendy shares some of the sights and smells of nature right in the room. Touch and feel some plants, smell some amazing aromatherapy and take a little bit of nature home with you, as we make a planting project together. Studies show that a plant in a room can improve mood, cognition, energy and even decrease pain. We will have everything you need, however, feel free to bring a small, tea cup-sized container to use for your project if you would like.

Have you ever wondered what bird banding is all about? Bird Banding records can help us learn how long birds live, where they travel, when and where they migrate and many other interesting facts. Carpenter Nature Center has been banding birds for over 30 years. On the fourth Friday of the month bird banding is open to the public.
There is no program fee, but donations of Bird Seed and Suet are greatly appreciated.
