AAUW "Educational Strategies in Changing Classrooms" with Young Sil Kim Allgor as featured speaker

Our April AAUW Spring Social dinner and business meeting will be followed by Educational Strategies in Changing Classrooms with Young Sil Kim Allgor as our featured speaker. Allgor’s talk is free and open to the public. Born in South Korea and adopted at the age of 11 to the small MN town of Sleepy Eye, Young Sil Kim Allgor is a veteran teacher of the deaf/hard of hearing with 40 years of experience mostly in the itinerant setting. At our meeting, she will discuss her work and experiences in how race, culture and identity affect learning and educational success.
